agree that we can delay the preparation of the detailed scheme as Mr. "itchener proposes; but I think it would be a good thing to decide finally what is to be paid the students, and the method of payment. Otherwise we shall find oursèèves in the position of having to pay the students without having decided upon the method.

I agree with Mr.Titchener in his minute of 10/12/47 that it would be desirable to pay an allowance from CDW funds equal to the difference between the net earnings of the student and £30 a month. I think it would be as well to get the Treasury to agree to this modification of the original scheme at No.12 in advance of the prepara- -tion of the full scheme.
